FOREMAN
Job Role/Duties:
A foreman is responsible for ensuring that everything goes smoothly at a construction site. They are responsible for being the point of contact between the construction workers and supervisors. A few of the main duties of a foreman are coordinating tasks for the day, creating schedules for workers, overseeing the quality of the site, and managing the budget. They also have to report the progress of the project to superiors. Some of the jobs titles that a foreman could grow into are construction supervisor and construction manager.
ROOF INSTALLER/SHINGLER
Job Role/Duties:
Installing, repairing, or replacing roofing systems using materials such as asphalt and gravel. Installing, repairing or replacing shingles and other roofing tiles. Applying waterproof coatings to concrete surfaces. Installing and repairing metal roofs using hand and power tools. Installing scaffolding/ using a ladder to provide safe access to roofs.
GENERAL LABOURER
Job Role/Duties:
A roofing laborer revolves around working to install or repair roofs on residential or commercial structures. Your duties may include taking steps to remove old roofing materials before making repairs to the structure and applying new shingles or other coverings. You will assist during the equipment unload process and carry tools or roofing materials up the ladder to the work site on the roof. You may also drive equipment and materials to the worksite. You will work as part of a team under the direction of a foreman or roofing contractor.
